Handsome's Theme (a.k.a. Yoshio's Theme) was composed by an Earthling Yoshio Ueno when he was, being an alien to the home of his girlfriend Zenna Acelines, really emotional during the time he stayed in Home Acelines.
He called this tune "Handsome's Theme" as his nickname was "Handsome" when he met Zenna in the Interstellar Friend Seeker (IFS).
Though he composed the tune, he never played it on his OCAR sax--his mood too heavy. His other girlfriend, Meva Acelines (Zenna's younger sister), secretly practiced it on another sax to surprise him for his upcoming birthday.
He found out before she could. Her playing was rough, but filled with love he felt.
In the galactic musical notation, a universal notation used by almost all galactic musicians, the concert pitch, A4 (i.e. the A note of the fourth octave counting from the lowest note), was written to be played by his OCAR sax in the standard of 432Hz. This 432Hz piece resonated with the frequency of an Earthling physical body, contributing a healing functionality, which calmed the audience down including him.
In this notation, chord symbols were usually stated at the start of each musical bar, together with the lowest note's frequency and a chord formation so the musician knew what chord to be played. For instance, a 432m symbol meant A4 minor chord (A4, C5, E5), and a 544o meant C#5 diminished chord (C#5, E5, G5).
The chord symbols in galactic musical notation include the root note (represented by its frequency in Hz) and chord qualities such as major (unmarked), minor (m), augmented (+), diminished (o), seventh (7), and more.
Yoshio transcribed the galactic score into the Earthling musical notation (D minor key), as well as adding solfege notes for anyone singing his theme.
From the above transcription, the following outlines the overall structure of Handsome's Theme:
From Bar | Structure | |||
1 | : | Verse A | ||
( Three 2-bar phrases ) | ||||
7 | : | Bridge | ||
( One 2-bar phrase ) | ||||
9 | : | Verse B | ||

The main melody was marked in solfege musical notes (do re mi fa sol la ti):
Note that a comma ( , ) at the bottom of a solfege note (e.g. la, ) indicates an octave lower, while an apostrophe ( ' ) indicates an octave higher (e.g. do' ).
Let's listen to the beautiful tune of the original Handsome's Theme played by Yoshio himself with his OCAR sax:
